Lush Review

Hey guys!

So, I thought I would tell you what I think about two Lush products.
The first one is Flosty Gritter Bubble Bar (yes this is spelled correctly!). It is a pink glittery bubble bar which is why I chose it in the first place and it even smelled nice because I didn't expect for something to look that cool AND also have a nice scent. It smells like vanilla with a bit of lavender so it's sweet but also kind of fresh-smelling.You're supposed to crumble it under the running tap in the bathtub which is what I did but let me just say that all that pretty shimmery glitter didn't show at all in the water. The water did turn pink and the bubbles (or more like a foam actually) weren't that big and didn't last that long (about 40 minutes). They were like a bit shimmery but it was just a bit disappointing when you have this shimmery pink bubble bar in your hands and your skin is covered in sparkles but then crumbling it under the running tap just made it dissolve so quickly. no more glitter and the scent wasn't that strong (still good though!). I was mainly disappointed because I wanted to have sparkles on my skin when I went out on new year's eve but I didn't plus this thing cost me 8.90 CHF (swiss francs -- http://www.lush-shop.ch/) (-> it's only $5.65 in the states) so I would have expected a bit more. Bottom line: I would actually repurchase it if I had the money just because it's pink and before you put it in also glittery and I like that :-) Oh and I used the whole thing even though you could have cut it in half but I just wanted to know what the whole thing does since I'm kind of new to Lush products.

The second one is a bit confusing. In the states it's known as Gnome Name Bubble Bar but on my wrapper it said No Name Bubble Bar and on http://www.lush-shop.ch/ it's called Sexy Harry so that's cool in it's own way (since Santa has different names in various countries as well) but it is confusing. It is from the Christmas Collection so they might not have it any more but they seem to still have it online. Anyways, he retails for $6.25 and in Switzerland for 8.50 CHF and he's also meant to be crumbled under the running tap. He smells amazing! Seriously, he smells just like Christmas. On the Lush website it says that he is "warming,fruity,spicy,soda-scented". I would describe the scent as very cinnamony with a hint of orange maybe and a bit of vanilla, lemon and even a tiny bit of chocolate, but mostly cinnamony. It's hard to explain but he smells really really great and the red part on him even has a bit of glitter so I did have a similar experience with him like with the Flosty Gritter thingy but I must say that I wasn't that disappointed in him. I really liked that the bath just turned like red,blood-red! So I liked that..because,FYI,I love the Twilight series and in fact vampire legends in general. The bubbles,or again more of a foam really, were very solid if that's the way to decribe them. I could like take them in my hands and they didn't even slip away,it was a great experience. This was my first lush product ever and it was a good choice. Oh and this one made my skin a bit smoother than the Flosty Gritter one, just so you know, but they're both comfortable to relax in. Bottom line: I would repurchase it if it was available throughout the year because it just smelled very nice and the red water was unique.

All right,if you have questions or comments, feel free to leave them and I'll try to get back to you!Happy bathing :-)

-Zoey
